Overview
A web application that extend support for Bizzi Bus mobile app. The Bizzi Bus provide support for parents to always know where their child’s school bus is with accurate real-time tracking. If the bus is running behind due to weather, traffic or any unpredictable event the parents can now receive a push notification informing them of the situation. The parents can inform the bus driver if their child will not be riding the bus by sending a push notification. Bizzi Bus will bridge the gap between families and their school transportation specialist.
Process
With the primary requirements and details in hand my job was to design a good user interface for the application. I started with carefully considering the design of all the UI elements that make up the final design. It include typography, color palette, images and media, forms and menu. At initial phase I build an interface inventory that helped me to keep everything consistent in my design. The next big thing was to develop the sense of interaction in the design so that we know how user will move between these screens. As the main users of the application are parents so my goal was to delight my users, not to frustrate them.
Front-end Development
I started the user interface coding by extracting all the required assests from the design. I use SMACSS and BEM design approach to code all my essential components. I use sementic html for content,, SASS for presentation and JS for behavior and interactivity.
